Double the fun

After his long day Saturday (and the crazy nap schedule Sunday always creates), Jonah was exhausted. Even though my dad asked me not to get him in the pic, I couldn't resist. It was too sweet!

After lunch and relaxing, we headed over to Jeremy's aunt and uncles to swim (again!) with his cousins. Jonah had an oh-so-manly ladybug float, but we pretended it was a lobster. : ) Hey, what he doesn't know won't hurt him, right?

He loves his daddy!!

Jonah giving "noggin" to our friend, Justin.

The king and his subjects!

So we've had a pretty busy weekend but Jonah finally had his first swim in a big pool! He's growing up so fast!!

Is it summer yet??

This past weekend definitely felt like it! We went with my family for our annual trip to Fruits 'n' Such orchard to pick blackberries.
Jonah tasted his first blackberry:
At first he wasn't really sure about it...
Then he loved it!
It was pretty overcast, but it ended up keeping us cool.
Uncle Micah shared some of his berries.
Aunt Kay made Jonah laugh : )
Nana also had some fun with the Jonah Bear
Afterwards, we all went home and relaxed. Later we met back up with Uncle Stephen and Aunt Ivette for some pool time and burgers.
Jonah loved playing in the pool with Daddy and his cousin!
His other cousin enjoyed watching. Maybe next year, little dude!

It was a great day and Jonah loved the time with family!

Ro-de-o!

Since Jeremy's brother-in-law is on a cook team, we had quite an incentive to check out the Galveston county rodeo in April. Me, Jeremy, and Jonah headed out with a couple of friends to check out the food and festivities. It was a lot of fun, especially the fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich!! Yum!
We checked out the petting zoo first. Jonah wasn't too impressed, especially since he just woke up.
He did enjoy talking to the rabbits while we visited the show animals!
I called, "Here piggy!" and the silly thing almost ran to the fence. I was a little surprised!
Finally we chilled and enjoyed some delicious bbq and fried desserts!

Water boy!

We decided that since our little boy has so much fun splashing in the bathtub, a kiddie pool would be an awesome idea. Though it was incredibly difficult to get it from WalMart to our SUV by myself with Jonah in the buggy, it was well worth it.
Jonah (and Daddy) greatly enjoy the new addition to the backyard.

Updates

SO much is going on with the little man these days!
Just a few of the fun things he's doing:
  • Jonah now waves bye-bye, especially to the cute baby in the mirror and any small animals at PetSmart
  • He is becoming quite the little foodie! At lunchtime, he eats many different finger foods, like tomatoes, cheese, and turkey. He loves the bread- he is my child! He will also chew on anything and everything. Paper is his favorite thing to store in his mouth.
  • Our little guy is continually fascinated by Jack. He loves to crawl over to Jack's window and stand by him, guarding our house!
  • My favorite thing he does now, though, is kisses! It's the sweetest thing when he gives those open-mouth baby kisses!! I think Jack is his favorite to kiss, but I'll take what I can get!
  • He also makes this funny face we call the "stink face". He puckers his nose and breathes really loudly, like he's angry. It's so strange but adorable.
  • Jonah really loves being outside. He's been that way since he was a newborn. I don't know if it's the sounds, sights, or the fact that Jack usually goes with us, but he can't get enough of it!

It's hard to believe he's 9 1/2 months now! Our little man is getting so big!
