Berryland Farm

We went here a couple of weeks ago with my parents. Even though they didn't have cows (which Jonah believes is essential to being a farm), we really enjoyed our time!
We shot the corn cannon, chunked a pumpkin, slide down a huge hill, went through a corn maze, and had a hay ride, complete with chicken feeding.
These are some of the pics my dad took:

I LOVE this shot!

I think the slide was the most popular thing

Of course Jeremy had to add his own "flair"

Pumpkin Chunkin'!

Corn cannon

This pic cracks me up!

I think he would have taken them all home. Yuck.

Ok, this kid is super strong!

He was "dancing." Looks like he got Mommy's skills in that area.

This pose lasted about ten seconds until they realized there were pumpkins behind them to play with.

He found a new friend.

Racing. Daddy and Sam kicked our butts!

My brave kiddo went down a few times all by himself.

Now that you're caught up...

I'm sorry it's taken me this long to update this. I truly didn't realize it had been since the summer.
Here's what each boy is doing these days:
Sam

  • Learning a million new words a day
  • If I ask him if he wants to eat or take a bath, his answer is always an enthusiastically yelled, "Yes ma'am!" (He learned it from his brother)
  • He has this super cute way of saying our names when he's put out with us. I can't mimic it through typing but trust me, it's adorable.
  • He is pretty much attached to my hip as much as possible
  • His first sentence has been "Back up, Jack!" Poor dog.
  • He loves his big brother so much and constantly follows him around.
  • He uses the potty some. Crazy, right? Jeremy let him try one day and now whenever he sees the toilet, he runs over and tries to take off his clothes, then uses it.
  • He is LOUD. SO LOUD. All. The. Time.
Jonah

  • Has (for some unknown reason) started calling everyone Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy and I are not exempt. We often hear "Mr. Daddy" or "Mrs. Mommy." Silly kid.
  • He is very proud of Sammy. Just tonight at a playground, he was telling the bigger kids, "This is my baby brother. Look! There's my baby brother!"
  • He has started to read short words. He can sound out many basic words and has begun to recognize some sight words.
  • He tries to write his name sometimes. Granted, most people couldn't make heads or tails of it, but you can pick out some of the letters.
  • He is getting so big so quickly. It's exciting and heartbreaking.
A few recent shots:

I walked away from my lunch for a second...

Can you see it? It goes clockwise from the left.

His smile face:

When you have little ones, this is appropriate wear for ChickFilA:

Um, they like to get dirty

He's so helpful with his brother : )
