Family Photo Shoot

While we were in Dallas this past week (see next post for details), Jeremy's sister, Christy, took some family pictures for us. She does an awesome job and it's so special to have someone we love capturing these moments. Jonah's growing up so fast!! Check out our handsome boy:

We couldn't pass up the bear statues since we always call him "Jonah Bear" or "El Oso" ("The bear" in Spanish)

This is Jonah's "stinkface." It was absent for a while, but apparently it's making a comeback...

He LOVES his Daddy!!

To Grandmother's (and Aunt Christy's) houses we go!

Why is this baby smiling? Because we were hittin' the road!
This past week we were out of town visiting family. We went to Dallas to visit Jeremy's sister and her family, then to Wichita Falls, TX, to visit my grandparents, then back to Dallas to break up the trip a little more.
Overall, it was a great trip! Jonah is not as wonderful of a sleeper when he's not in his bed, though. : ( Poor baby (and poor mommy & daddy!!). He is a pretty good traveller anyway. The more mobile he is, though, the less time he wants to spend in the car seat, so we have to get creative about keeping him entertained.
This silly green snake is one I had to buy for a children's lesson at church. It cost $1 at WalMart but it provided hours of entertainment for this silly little boy!

Once he was over the snake, he moved on to Mommy's glasses. He also helped us discover that those baby snack containers are not really spill-proof. Cheerios. Everywhere.

Once we got to Grandma & Grandpa's house, it was playtime!! He loved cruising around and crawling up and down the step into the living room.

Grandma enjoyed playing, too!

Jonah had his first cheeseburger while we were there. From the looks of it, I think he enjoyed it. : )

He loves playing with Daddy!

Grandma gave him some yummy lemon pound cake!

For those of you who know what I (Sarah) looked like as a baby, this pic may look familiar. I always hear how much he looks like his handsome daddy, but this pic definitely shows Mommy's genes.

This isn't the best pic but it is excellent proof of how hard Jonah played at Grandma's. If you look above his right eye, you'll see that it's red and swollen. Poor baby got a little too excited about the piano!

Bathtime!!

Playing with Grandpa

On our way to Aunt Christy & Uncle Jarid's. I think he was ready for a snack...

Can you tell he likes to chew things? This was taken while swimming in Aunt Christy's kiddie pool on their deck.

His cousin gave him quite a few kisses!

Hangin' with Mommy

Our wonderful hosts!!

Jonah was exhausted from another day of swimming in a big pool. I told you he loves the snake!!

Guess where we stopped on the way home!

On the way back, Daddy came up with a great idea to give Jonah a snack and occupy him at the same time. He put Cheerios on the tail of the snake. Jonah had a great time figuring out the new "toy".

Sweet baby!
We had a wonderful trip, but we are so thrilled to be home!!
