Austin trip

The week before Valentine's, Jeremy was invited to present at a technology conference in Austin. We loaded up (a very real description with a toddler) and headed out to visit the capitol. We were a little wary, since last year he slept HORRIBLY!! This time, however, he did much better. Of course it wasn't anything like how he sleeps in his own crib but who doesn't prefer their own bed?

Jonah was excited and proved to be an excellent traveller this time around!

His Majesty and the luggage cart. He also got to ride the "alligator" (elevator) every day! : ) He LOVED that!!

Before we went, I asked for food recommendations on Facebook. We ended up having delicious meals each day! This place had the BEST dessert- peach pudding!

Our first full day, Jonah and I visited the Children's Museum while Daddy was at the conference. He had a BLAST and I had a hard time keeping up with him!
I tried to upload the video of this but couldn't get it. Poor little guy could not understand why that boy in front of him would not move!

Playing at the big train table at the museum

Tuned pipes- so cool to me as a music teacher!! To Jonah, they were "drums" : )

Being silly in the hotel

I didn't get a picture but we ate at a yummy pancake restaurant the second night. I can easily eat breakfast for any meal of the day. This baby loves blueberry pancakes, apparently!

The next day we laid low all morning and lounged around the hotel. That afternoon we went to Zilker Park before dinner. It's an awesome place for the little ones!

This child insists on kissing just about every animal he sees : ) So sweet! He also loves the raise my shirt and kiss "Baby"

He is such a boy! His clothes were filthy when we left!

I love this expression! Little tough guy

The morning we left, we tried out another recommendation. Gourdough's donuts will, in fact, change your life. Also, if you ate them every day, I'm pretty sure they'd shorten your life as well...

It was a great trip and we had so much fun spending time away together!

November/December

Let me catch you up on how the past couple of months have been for us.

This is Jonah's favorite way to accessorize. Those are my socks that he insists on wearing on his hands and feet.

This is what Jonah chose to wear for Thanksgiving. I literally opened his closet and he said "Tractor. On please!"

At the end of November we went to Bass Pro Shop to see Santa! Mommy was excited but a little unsure of how Jonah would react. Last year, he was a bit oblivious; he wasn't even five months yet! This year, he would be a bit more aware.
I got some good shots of Jeremy and Jonah playing outside the store.

This was definitely NOT his Christmas present! (See the price behind it?)

After a relatively short line, we got to see Santa! I must say, this may be my favorite Santa picture ever. It cracks me up every time! Don't worry, he quickly bounced back once we walked away. Poor Santa...

I snuck in and took this sweet picture one morning. What an angel!
We had a wonderful Christmas! Jonah got a few gifts from us, a stocking from Santa, and armfuls of presents from his generous grandparents! Thankfully they included some clothes. We never turn those down!
This was his "big" gift from Mommy & Daddy. The bumper car makes noise when it slams into something. So far Jonah loves it. Our Boxer Jack? Not so much.

...And one on the way!

So just in case some of you haven't heard, we are expecting again!
I'm actually in the third trimester now (16 weeks now) and feeling MUCH better. The nausea was up and down a lot with this little one! There have been some definite differences in the pregnancy so far (girl???). Again, we won't find out the sex beforehand.
The due date is July 10, but since Jonah was born about 2 weeks early, I'm thinking it may be more like the end of June (my birthday!).
Here are some belly pics. Crazy how quickly you show the second time around!

Happy Halloween!

For Jonah's 2nd Halloween, he went as a bee. He had a great time at our church's Fall Festival. Honey took him around to see all the trunks in Trunk or Treat. He also got to bounce in a bouncer, shoot a Nerf gun with Aunt Kay & Uncle Micah, and get loved on by Nana and Papa.

It was a challenge to keep the costume on!

Random cuteness

Since I have been so behind in posting, this post will be filled with random pictures and facts about our adorable, now 15-month-old son.
Jonah got his first hair cut a couple of weeks ago from his Aunt Kaitlyn (Aunt Kay). He did very well! He sat in Mommy's lap and ate fruit snacks and did not try to grab the scissors as Mommy was worried he would!

Sweeping up after the other "customers"

Love!!

After

Hmm... feels different
Playing outside- talking on his "phone" (aka rock)

So sweet

Waking from a nap

Playing guitar with Papa. He LOVES anything related to music! Wonder where he gets it???

How could anyone resist?

Zoo Trips

It has been FOREVER since I've updated!! Every time I got on to upload pics, the site would not cooperate! I am taking advantage of this window of opportunity to post some that are more recent than this past summer!
These are pics from our zoo trips. We purchased the membership this year since Jonah is now old enough to actually care about seeing the animals. We've been a few times and he loves it! Sorry for the pics that aren't rotated- again, Blogger can be quite frustrating!
Clearly he has Uncle Steve's photogenic genes : )

So brave!

Monkeying around

My fave!! Jeremy told me the other day that he'd break his back to walk like this with Jonah

Giving kisses to the meerkats

He loves the petting zoo! He especially likes brushing his own hair with the goat brushes. Yuck!

Watching the chimps in the African Forest exhibit

And after the chimp banged on the glass. Poor baby!
